Competitive Learning Protocol – TEMPLATE

The Competitive Learning Protocol

When we attend training calls, complete assignments and form study groups, it matters that we show up with the intention to pull new knowledge through into meaningful action that produces power.

The real growth doesn’t start or end with the event.

Much like strength training, it starts before and comes after — when we process what we’ve learned into meaningful results in our lives.

It’s how we produce a return on our investment of time, energy, creativity and currency.

When we show up to a training call or study group, it’s essential that we arrive ready — present, seated, focused and free from distraction. We want to pull every bit of value from the time spent.

That means not eating during calls, not walking or driving during sessions, not showing up late and not interrupting or derailing the conversation.

Because when even one person is distracted or disruptive, they don’t just limit their own growth they take from everyone else in the room who came ready to increase their ability to fulfill their purposes.

I’ve found that not showing up fully able and willing to produce a return comes from one of three places.

It’s either arrogance or the conceit of believing you can just hear something and take effective action with it,

or it’s a failure to take yourself seriously in your own life and in the lives of others.

Either way, it’s the belief that you don’t have to do the work of processing, reflecting and applying. That the rules of gaining power somehow don’t apply to you.

This protocol is a framework designed to ensure returns are produced. By answering a specific set of questions before and after each training event, you create a record of your own thinking, preparation and follow through.

It surfaces what you knew going in, what you captured, and what you did with it.

It also makes it clear who is serious about this work and who is not. Not because anyone is watching you, but because the results will speak for themselves. And everyone in your group will see it.
